The Qatra Petrochemical Complex consists of 12 process units and a unit for the storage and transmission of products. These units are responsible for receiving feed, product production, and transfer. All operational units are controlled through the FCS/DCS advanced control system and by experienced personnel.
The complex has various production units with special characteristics, such as olefin, high-density polyethylene, linear polyethylene, butadiene, and butane-1, Styrene Butadiene Rubber and Polybutadiene Rubber which plays a prominent role in the mega-size chain of projects in the Special Economic Zone and has been able to gain its share in the markets of the region and the world and be considered by the main players of the petrochemical industry.
Our Styrene Butadiene Rubber elastomer (SBR) production plant based on cold emulsion polymerization of GOODYEAR technology with a capacity of 15,000 tons per year and a Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR) production plant based on Ziegler-Natta solution polymerization of GOODRICH technology with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year, located in an area of 10 hectares in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.
